Proceedings of the Iola Village Board of Trustees, Monday, January 14, 2019, 6:00 p.m.

     Acting President Harper called the regular monthly meeting of the Iola Village Board of Trustees to order at 6:00 p.m. at the community center. Acting President Harper made the open meeting statement that this meeting and all other meetings of this Board are open to the public. Proper notice has been posted and given to the press in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes so the citizenry may be made aware of the time, place and agenda of this meeting. Board members present; Acting President Harper, Trustees Fenn, Parks, Murphy, Briquelet and Rasmussen. President Edler was excused. Others present; clerk Johnson, attorney Meagher, Officer Field and Holly Nueman. Acting President Harper led the Board in the pledge of allegiance.

     Moved by Terry Murphy, seconded by Jim Rasmussen to approve minutes of the last regular meeting of December 10 as written, motion carried.

     Moved by Terry Murphy, seconded by Missy Fenn, for the board to accept the police monthly statistical report as prepared by Chief Prahl, motion carried.

     Moved by Terry Murphy, seconded by Jim Rasmussen, for the board to adopt resolution #19-01 (copy attached) to update the “Municipal Emergency Operation Plan of the Village of Iola”, motion carried.

     Moved by Jim Rasmussen, seconded by Pamela Parks, for the board to adopt resolution #19-02 (copy attached) to renew the $100,000.00 line of credit note with Bank First National, motion carried.

     Moved by Kathy Briquelet, seconded by Terry Murphy, for the board to adopt resolution #19-03 (copy attached) to update the signature cards and signing authority for the Village of Iola accounts; including the general fund, sewer fund, water fund, CDBG fund, CDA accounts and library accounts, motion carried.

     Library addition “open house” will be held on January 13. Cari Honken will replace Lona Gullikson on the Library board who resigned because of health reasons.

     The monthly bills were presented to the finance committee for approval. The finance committee examined the bills and recommended that they be allowed. Moved by Jim Rasmussen, seconded by Missy Fenn, that the recommendation of the finance committee be adopted and an order drawn on the treasury for the various amounts, motion carried.
